Preparation Method of DCAC

DCAC has a variety of preparation methods, the following is one of the preparation methods, the process is roughly as follows:

The production of DCAC involves the interaction of diethylene glycol, ether, and acetic anhydride. Combine diethylene glycol and ether, add a small amount of sulfuric acid as a catalyst, slowly add acetic anhydride to the reaction mixture, heat the reaction mixture, typically using a condenser and a heating mantle, to facilitate the reaction. The temperature should be maintained around 100-120°C. After the reaction is complete, allow the mixture to cool. Separate the organic layer (DCAC) from the reaction mixture. Purify the product by distillation or other suitable purification methods.
